LIFE OF VIDEOGAMES – 8-bit memories

An absolutely subjective story of the birth of videogames in Italy, a little historical, a little technical, very anecdotal, from the 80s to the early 90s.

Ivan Venturi, pioneer of the Italian videogame industry, narrates the birth and evolution of the videogame industry in Italy, through his direct experience from the 70s to the 90s: first, as a kid passionate about arcade videogames, then as amateur developer on Commodore 64 and later first programmer of the newborn Simulmondo, up to the production management of the company and the end of that experience that marked the history of Italian videogames. In addition, interviews with other professionals of the time and a reproduction of the scrapbooks that served as game design documents!
